30 Day Video Game Challenge: Day 19

Picture of a game setting you wished you lived in.

Hello Blerders and Nerders! Happy Tuesday! The subject today is another easy one (is this a theme?). A game setting I wished I lived in would have to be…the Mass Effect universe…minus the Reaper problem.

Are you tired of hearing about Mass Effect from me? Oh well, I love it and your going to hear about it :-). I’ve always been a fan of space and the prospect of us not being the only ones out here. I would be giddy at the fact at meeting and working with aliens. And flying through the galaxy in ships and seeing planets and creatures fit for books and video games? This day came after our “president” stated he wanted to start a Space Force, the sixth branch of the military. I may not agree with most of anything he says but this…I can get behind. Only because I want to travel the last frontier with my own eyes and befriend alien species. And defend the Earth of course because…that’s what your supposed to do in a Space Force right?

Would meeting aliens like Asari, Turians, Quarians, Salarians and Krogan….(well maybe not Krogan), be the highlight of my life? Yes….yes it would. I would jump at the chance to learn about their cultures and develop a friendship with them. I enjoy thinking about the what ifs of space travel and what would life be like with the influence of alien cultures. I know Mass Effect is a game but the lore makes you think fantastical things could be true.

I know this was a short post but I would miss work for staying up too late writing a book about why I wish the world of Mass Effect was real. What about you? What game setting do you wish were real? Is it Mass Effect like me? Or is Yoshi’s Island? Tell me about it in the comments!

Over the next few weeks, I will be restructuring the site to better accommodate new and existing readers as well as giving my contributors some structure for their pieces together and organized. I may play around with the template as well so bare with me! Until next time….Nerd Out!
